Affiliate Signup Instructions

This web page contains the detailed instructions to complete your affiliate signup. If you have any questions, please contact me. I’ve put my contact information on the left of this web page.

Step 1: Sign up as an affiliate

Go to https://AParkinsonsLifeBook.com/affiliate/signupform.php and complete the form. Enter the name and email address of your primary contact. Once you have completed the signup, you can change this at any time. The PayPal ID is optional. If you provide it, that's how I will pay you.

Step 2: Wait for a confirmation email

A few minutes after you submit the form, you will receive an email with a link asking you to confirm that you have signed up to become an affiliate. When you click this link, you will be taken to a login page. Don't try to log in yet. You won't have received the password.

If you have not received this email within ten or fifteen minutes (it should only take two or three), check your spam folder.

Step 3: wait for login instructions

A few minutes after you have confirmed, you will receive a second email with a link to the affiliate login page at https://www.aparkinsonslifebook.com/affiliate/login.php . I suggest you bookmark this link. You can use it at any time to check your statistics as well as to update your information. The email will contain the user name you entered and a password. You can change your password at any time.

Two Options for crediting your account

For you to receive credit, all sales must come from the book’s website, www.AParkinsonsLife.com. Booksellers do not have the ability to credit you.

You have two options to receive funds from sales you refer. One is to update your website with a link to the ordering site for the book. Whenever a visitor to your site clicks that link and makes a purchase, you will automatically be credited with your share of the proceeds. There is nothing the visitor has to do.

The second option is for you to provide your visitors with a referral code, which they enter when they place an order. That code tells the system to credit you with your share of the proceeds. The second option is less sure because if a visitor doesn’t enter the referral code, the system won’t know to credit you.

Step 4a: Update your website

If you prefer to update your website with the link to the ordering site for the book, you can add information to your website about the book along with a link such as “Click here to find our more” or “Click here to order.” The link you will use is in the second email and it is also on your affiliate page. It will look like: https://www.aparkinsonslifebook.com/affiliate.php?id=x.

If you would like to include a graphic of the book, you can right-click on the image of the book cover on this website, click "Copy image," then paste it on your website page.

Step 4b: Use a referral code

If you would prefer to use a referral code, that code is provided in the second email you receive. When your visitors place an order, they will be asked to enter a discount or referral code. That is the code they will use to credit you. You may provide that code to your visitors however you wish.

Step 5: Check your statistics

At any time, you can log onto your affiliate page at https://www.aparkinsonslifebook.com/affiliate/login.php and review your statistics. I will pay you once a month at the end of the month. If you've entered your PayPal ID, I will transfer the funds to your PayPal account. Otherwise, I will send you a bank draft. That's slower.
